How Does the Olympus Magna Mike 8600 Work?

Simple and Efficient Operation

The Magna Mike 8600 operates using a magnetic probe and a small target ball, disk, or wire. The measurement process involves:

1. Placing the probe on one side of the material.
2. Positioning the target ball on the opposite side or dropping it inside a container.
3. The Hall Effect sensor in the probe detects the distance between the probe tip and the target.
4. The digital thickness reading is instantly displayed on the large color screen.
